One of the challenges that a disabled person faces are loss or low job opportunities for them. With them still facing and experiencing discrimination and other barriers to prevent them on having a full participation in social, economic, political, and cultural life when they are a huge part of each aspects.In a certain article it is stated that the unemployment rate for persons with a disability, at 12.6 percent in 2020, increased by 5.3 percentage points from the previous year.

The potential of people with disabilities remain untapped and unrecognized, leaving a majority living in poverty, dependence and social exclusion. With a purpose of supporting and promoting them to being recognized as an individual with potential contributions to the overall well-being and diversity of their communities. To open the eyes of everyone that if that person is missing or lacking on something it does not mean that it ends the ability of the person on doing something that a normal people can do. They are worth it and they can do it.

This petition focus on giving a people with disabilities to have an equal job opportunities for them and for everyone to realize that there is a wide gap on job opportunities of people with and without disabilities. There is an urgent need for the government and to the companies that can provide fair employment opportunities for those people with disabilities, as they also have a right to economic security and yet they are barely being recognized.
